Checking Android 10 GPS Permissions

With Android 10, Google has implemented new permissions.

The following image is from Google's development site, and shows how apps can now ask for permission all of the time, or just while the app is in use. For OMN to record tracklogs, we need permission for 'Allow all the time'

You can check this setting in Settings in Android. The images below may be different on your phone as different manufacturers implement the look and feel differently.

  1. Enter the Settings app in Android:

  1. Select Apps & Notifications

  1. Search for OMN

  1. Tap on OMN in the list, and you then see the page about OMN:

  1. Tap on Permissions

  1. Tap on Location

  1. Change it to be 'Allow all the time'
